half across the globe
you sleep on cold, hard ground
innocent and broken
dirty hands and easy smile

you don't know how to read
you've never been to school
you've been hurt, used, exploited
you've known nothing else

do you know that you are loved?

half across the globe
your picture flashes on our screens
your pain exploited once again
in the hope of rescue

if it breaks our hearts, will we help you?

you're half across the globe
you're half across this town

James 1:27

26-27Anyone who sets himself up as "religious" by talking a good game is self-deceived. This kind of religion is hot air and only hot air. Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world.

John 14:18
18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
